Meet Helen Rome
The Vision Behind Elite Events and Weddings
I’m Helen Rome, the founder and creative force behind Elite Events and Weddings. With over 25 years of experience in luxury event planning, I’ve built my reputation on delivering high-end, impeccably executed events that leave a lasting impression.
My journey into event planning actually began 30 years ago, organising sales and marketing meetings, flying people in from all over Europe, and meticulously coordinating hotels, travel, and logistics. I thrived on making sure everything ran smoothly, turning chaos into precision was my superpower!
This love for organisation and bringing people together only grew when I spent 12 years working voluntarily alongside my day job as an Event Manager for a charity in Peterborough, where I planned and executed phenomenal fundraising balls, galas, and awareness events, raising thousands of pounds for a cause close to my heart. At the same time, I was also organising weddings at my local church, helping couples create meaningful and heartfelt ceremonies surrounded by their loved ones. Seeing the joy and emotion on their faces made me realise this wasn’t just something I could do; it was something I was meant to do.
